Sant Serni de La Pedra
The first references of Sant Sadurní de la Pedra dates from the 9th century, when the king Guifré el Pelós carried out a repopulation and a civil reorganization of La Vall de Lord.
Firstly, this church consisted of a single rectangular nave and later new chambers were added, such as a rectangular chamber used as a sacristy in the actuality.
Beside the church, in an elevated point, we still found the rests of La Pedra castle, one of the three castles built by Guifré el Pelós to look to the area.
How to get there?
From the village of Sant Llorenç de Morunys, we should take the road C-462 towards La Coma i La Pedra and continue on it for about 3 km. Take the detour located on the right side signposted with La Pedra and La Font Puda and then, turn left direction La Pedra. Remain on this road until your arrive on the church.
