Due to the relief of La Mola de Lord, being an unassailable point in the past, this sanctuary used to be useful for the Carlist trops as a hospital. In consequence, this point became the epicenter of a battle between liberal and Carlist troops. As a result, the sanctuary was detonated and destroyed by liberals.
To commemorate this armed conflict, a Carlist cannon is shown in the summit of Mola de Lord.
Besides the historical value, visitors can enjoy the great and spectacular views of Llosa del Cavall reservoir and Busa and Bastets mountain ranges.
