Natural spring of Cardener

The natural spring of Cardener, located in La Coma i La Pedra is the headwaters of Cardener River. This river becomes a tributary of Llobregat River in Manresa. The visitor can enjoy the Cardener sources in all its essence during the spring season, because of snow fusion or in autumn, thanks to the abundant rains. The different waterfalls surrounded by forests make this point an ideal place to enjoy the calm with family or friends.
This point is complemented with barbecues and wooden tables (picnic area) for all who wants to have a meal in the middle of nature.

How to get there?
From the village of Sant Llorenç de Morunys we should take the road C-462 towards La Coma i La Pedra; around the km. 27, turn left direction to Fonts del Cardener. Park the car in the asphalted square and walk about 200 m following the asphalted path. You will find the entrance in the Cardener sources area.

Font del Teixó i font Fenerals

If we take the road to Sant Llorenç de Morunys via Coll de Jou, at the km 29.9 on our left we will find a flat area with the Teixó fountain and next to the main road on the left we will find Font Fenerals. Opposite, there is a place to park and admire the deep holes down on the rocky terrain called Vilamala ravines.
Font de Coll de Jou

If we follow the road from Solsona to Sant Llorenç de Morunys passing Coll de Jou, at the km 23, we will find the fountain with the same name with a little flat part to park and admire the panoramic views that this place offers. After a short stroll we can go to Creu del Codó picnic area and viewpoint.
Font del Vermell

We take the road to Sant Llorenç via Coll de Jou. When we get to the Coll de Jou we take the road to Cambrils on our left. At the km 33.8, on the right and close to the road, we find one of the most popular fountains of the area, Font del Vermell, which offers probably the best water of the area.
Puda’s spring

La Puda spring (La Coma i La Pedra) is a sulphurous source. The high content in sulphur are caused due to the underground gypsum dissolution.
As the catalan name indicates (Puda = bad smell), the water of this spring often smells (stinks). This point is complemented with a little pond stuffed with the source water and it’s a good place to be soaked. In addition, be soaked in this water (in moderation), have several benefits for the skin and circulation.
This is an essential place to go if you visit La Vall de Lord; all seasons are recommended to go there. Even though, during the summer months, it’s a good place to cool down a bit with all the family. Besides, this point is complemented with some wooden tables and benches.

How to go there?
From Sant Llorenç de Morunys we should take the road C-462 towards La Coma and La Pedra. Continue along this road within 3 Km. and then turn right, following La font Puda signal post. Take this detour and follow it until you reach the source.
